Cell to Singularity: Mesozoic Valley Game Instructions

The goal of Cell to Singularity: Mesozoic Valley is to progress through the simulation by unlocking dinosaurs, earning fossil points, and completing missions. You can see all your missions in the top right corner of the screen. Once you have completed all your missions, trigger the extinction event to start a new simulation.

Cell to Singularity Tips

Cell to Singularity can be a tough game for beginners. If you’re having some trouble getting started, read on to learn a few basic strategies.

Running Your First Simulation

Click on the green plus sign to purchase your first dinosaur: the Archosaur. After that, click on the yellow arrow on top of the dinosaur icon in the middle of your screen to start a Fossil Cycle. Each Fossil Cycle generates Fossil Points, your primary resource.

You can exchange Fossil Points to buy more Archosaurs by pressing the plus button. The more Archosaurs you own, the more Fossil Points you’ll earn per Fossil cycle. When you’ve earned enough Fossil Points, purchase your next dinosaur: the Ornithischia. Repeat the process of starting Fossil Cycles to generate Fossil Points until you can afford to purchase more dinosaurs and complete missions.

On the right side of your screen, you’ll see your currently available missions. Your first mission is to collect 15 Archosaurs. Every time you complete a mission, you will receive a Geode. Click on the Geode, then click on it to break it apart. This will give you a dinosaur trait card, which will automate your Archosaur’s Fossil Cycle. Getting more copies of the same trait will allow you to upgrade that trait. Future Geodes will give you trait cards for other dinosaurs.

Upgrade your traits

Geodes can also give Mutagen, a resource that you can spend on permanent trait upgrades. Upgrade traits by clicking on the menu on the left, clicking on the trait you want to upgrade, then clicking on the “Upgrade” button. You can also upgrade traits from the “Tree” view. Opening Geodes can also grant you Darwinium Cubes, which power up your skills and boosts. Lastly, Geodes can grant more than one reward–so make sure you break them open!

Once you’ve unlocked the second dinosaur (Ornithischia), and opened your first Geode, you can now click anywhere on the screen to generate Fossil Points. Let the clicking begin!

Extinction Events

When you’ve completed all required missions in a simulation, an “Asteroid” icon will appear at the top of your screen. Click on that to start your first extinction event. You will lose all your dinosaurs (for now), but keep your Traits, Mutagen, and Darwinium, allowing you to move through the simulation faster. You'll also be able to unlock new dinosaurs in your new simulation.

Keep up the progress

Unlocking every single dinosaur is no small feat. However, if you continue to run simulations over and over, you will eventually unlock every single dinosaur and achieve Cell to Singularity stardom.

HINT: Look for golden pterosaurs and golden crystals—clicking on them could give you a generous gift of Fossil Points!
